the rules

1. When you create an account, make your username the first and last name of your character. This isn’t a difficult rule to follow, just change your display name accordingly.

2. For every one account you can only have one character. You may have up to four characters, which means up to four accounts. To have five you’ll have to plead your case to the admin.

3. Students are the ages of average high school students, meaning 14-18, though being held back and skipping grades is also possible. Trainers must be 20+ and instructors 24+, veterinarians 25+. Citizens may be any age but please, no ten year olds.

4. To join you need to fill out an application, the one that I provide, not one you make up, and then wait to be accepted. Do not change the coding of the application. Don’t post anywhere but in the application board until you’re accepted. You can post in the cbox, however, while you wait. To post in the cbox, enter a name, click ‘profile’, chose a password and you’re all set.

5. To roleplay in this site you have to be able to make posts with a minimum of 150 words. Really, though, I expect 150 words on a bad day and much more on a regular basis. When writing your application I will not accept your bio if you’re so much as one word under the minimum. Also, your computer’s word program comes with spell check, and you can find spell checkers on the internet and proboards even provides one. Use them, please.

6. Power playing is not acceptable unless the person whose character you’re doing it to agrees. If two characters get in a fist fight, if someone power plays than no matter the realistic odds, the other character wins and the roleplayer who power played in the first place gets a warning.

7. Sex, drugs and everything your mother told you is wrong is going to happen on this site. However, just because it happens does not mean you have to participate. For those that do include it in their rps, once a board gets past PG 13 put a warning on the thread.

8. When you’re creating a character, I do NOT want to see twenty thousand queen bitches and emo kids. Be realistic, be original and be creative. It shouldn’t be too much of a strain. On that note, also, do not join a character from a movie/tv show/type of media or an actual famous person. This is not a fandom roleplay, I don’t want to see any Maverick from Top Gun’s or the real Gerard Way. Remember that Vicious likes winged zebras.

9. You are encouraged to have pictures for your characters, it gives a visual and it’s fun to have. However, you can NOT use an anime/cartoon character as your character’s picture. Either find a real person that looks like them or don’t use pictures at all. Face claims are first come first serve and it is limited one face claim/celebrity to a person unless they are twins.

10. Every roleplay post will be in third person, because it’s easier to read, and no matter how hard you try, you are not your character. No first person, no second person, third person. It’s easier on everyone’s brains.

11. Fights are allowed in the rp, it adds depth and makes it more interesting. However, fights are not allowed in the OOC. If you’ve got anger issues, check them at the door, because if you start something with someone on the site, take it elsewhere or drop it. You’ll only get one warning before I kick you out.

12. If you make an account and don’t post at least an unfinished application in three days I will delete your account. Unfinished applications have a week to be finished from the time they are posted until I automatically deny them. If you don’t come online and make an IC post in more than two weeks without telling me you’re going to be gone or something, your account will be deleted, no questions asked.

13. Avatars cannot exceed 100x100 pixels, don’t ask me to make the limit bigger. Pictures in signatures should also not exceed 500x300. If they do I will first give you a warning, and then I will remove the picture myself.

14. Do not steal graphics, artwork, ideas, characters, posts, character relationships or anything else on this site.

in character rules

1. This is a boarding school, students stay in dorms, this means that aside from your horse which is kept in the barns, no pets are allowed except for goldfish.

2. Students MAY NOT own stallions; however they can breed their mares. This will make stallions rarer and will promote interaction between characters.

3. If you chose to have a ‘Pet Horse’ you may say in rp that it competes in shows and such but you cannot compete in the actual Elmendorf shows and cannot participate in any of the events with it.

4. Curfew is 10 PM and any students found out past curfew will report to the headmaster.

5. Only horses that have been cleared by a trainer or the Horse Master may be ridden outside of lessons and training sessions.

6. All horses will be fed alfalfa/grass three times a day and all stalls at Elmendorf will be cleaned regularly. Students must give supplements, groom, cool out and otherwise perform all other maintenances themselves.

7. The Horse Master is in charge of the horses and the barn and if there are problems, students and staff must report to him.

8. Elmendorf is a high school just as much as a riding school and students are expected to attend class Monday through Friday with the only exceptions being sickness and institutional excuses.

9. For any problem with classes or school policy, students and staff must report to the Headmaster.
