GENERAL:
Cassandra is just four inches shy of six feet, which might be quite a bit, but that doesn't mean she's not tall. Her long, almost-black brown hair is usually well-kept, but it's not unusual to see dust, dirt or hay twisted in the ends of her dark locks. She wears earrings, ranging from the simple to the unusual to the downright fancy. Her grey-blue eyes have an almost steely, serious look, but the lips are often curved into the slightest, most gentle suggestion of a sincere smile on her well-shaped face. Cassie is of a normal build, not particularly thin, with a good amount of athletically-induced muscle from her years of experience with horses. Despite her interactions with animals, she obviously takes care of herself properly in the area of personal hygiene. Aside from the earrings, she wears minimal jewelry aside from necklaces. She looks to be about almost thirty, which might make one question her marital status when they notice the empty ring finger. Doctor Patterson's wardrobe varies; she'll wear a nice blouse for a day at the office or to a show, or jeans, a T-shirt and riding boots for a day in the barn, making Cassandra Patterson is definitely woman of many appearances.[/ul]
, and this is my mind it goes !
over and over the same old lines
Though good at her profession, Cassandra isn't a total animal philanthropist, but not a complete snob. In general, her personality could be described as compassionate, understanding, and straightforward. She keeps her cool, but nobody's perfect. She's got a bit of a temper, and if you push her too close to the edge, she just might lose it. In tough situations, it's easy for her to get a little frustrated, but if you do what she asks in a veterinary scenario, she'll focus on her work and get the job done. She's talkative and friendly, but is easily shied in uncomfortable or awkward situations. Those who get to know her, however, will find her interesting to talk to. She takes her job seriously. She doesn't waste time treating her 'patients.' And, according to her, if you can't say anything nice, go ahead and say it: that is, if you want to lose part of your hearing. But she's got a good side, too. Cassandra is a Christian, but not so devout that she can't figure out the scientific reasons for things. And she know how to have fun. Actually, she's Catholic, but since she doesn't wear a rosary, you wouldn't be able to tell at first glance. When it comes to love, she won't rush into things, because she knows what she wants, but this doesn't necessarily mean she'll tell you exactly what that is. She likes going on walks, jogs, and, if a conversation interests her, she won't hesitate to jump right in and give her opinion. What's her idea of a successful life? Cassandra might tell you that it's not how much money you make, how many kids you have, where you go to school, or what you look like. What matters, according to Doctor Cassandra E. Patterson, is that you try. Just don't try to make her mad.

HISTORY:
Cassandra Elaine Patterson was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 19th, 1984. Her father, Randy, was an accountant and her mother, Emily, was a nurse at a local hospital. They grew up in a two-story ranch-style-house-turned-accounting-office in the suburbs. Her younger brother was born when she was five years old. As she grew older, and went through school, she visited the house of a classmate whose mother had been involved in equine showmanship. This piqued ten-year-old Cassie's interest in all things equine. Her parents got her magazine subscriptions and she saved her allowance to buy horse posters and figures. In a little while, her bedroom had turned from flowery and pink to a horse-lover's fantasy land; at least, it was according to her. Cassandra's parents thought this obsession a bit odd, but their non-objective behavior (and the belief that this was just a fad and would soon wear off) only helped to fuel her longing for all things horse. She had by no means been an intellectual prodigy; her grades were at best average. Upon entering middle school, however, she pushed to do her best, understanding that her efforts would one day grant her success? But in what field? Cassie found her answer, when she was fifteen, at a local equestrian center, where she was able to help a vet treat a horse with a sore leg. She asked him questions about his job, and though she thought she knew a lot about horses, his knowledge of nearly every aspect of the equine physiology astounded her, and inspired her. She decided to enter the field of veterinary medicine. Working hard to keep her grades up, Cassie was accepted to Ohio State University with some scholarships. She kept a job as a waitress through college. Just before the graduation from her five-year college education, she was receiving many letters from equestrian facilities nationwide, but none interested her. She then heard from a fellow classmate about a place called Elmendorf Academy; a high school equestrian academy in need of a veterinarian. Cassandra leaped on the chance. She would be able to spend time with horses, and teach others about them. She picked up her resume, put it in an envelope, and sent it on its way.[/ul]

SAMPLE POST:
Cassandra Patterson sat down at her desk, shoulders raised in a hunched position. Her elbows on the table, she rubbed the space between her eyes from tiredness. What a busy week! She'd been looking over at least fifteen horses in preparation for a big show. Some had needed vitamins, some needed their vaccinations updated, some needed worm prevention, and the list went on. And then, of course, some were completely healthy. Cassie was now thinking about what she would do for fun over the weekend. She could go into town, but on the weekends, the Lexington area would be bombarded by tourists and equestrians heading to shows. In her contemplation of what to make of her weekend schedule, the phone rang, catching her off guard. Her body gave a jolt in response to the loud, annoying noise, she closed her eyes, and sighed in an attempt to calm down. Cassandra's heart was still palpitating as she placed the phone to her ear. "Hello?" she answered. "Oh, hi, mom. Yes, I'm doing alright." Mothers, she thought. No matter how old you are, they're just a phone call away. Swallowing her disgruntled, tired attitude, she continued. "No, I won't be able to come up this weekend. Why? Because I'm busy, that's why! Say hi to dad for me. Alright. Love you. Bye." She returned the receiver to its resting spot over the dialing panel, resumed her previous position, and sighed. "I definitely need a nap."
